Summary: Vampires have been done and done again, almost each and every variant looking/acting alike. As you might guess, there will always be those who try to break the mold and offer us vampire conflicts that look even just a little bit distinct. And all we got from that in 2011 was a slightly more interesting "Underwold" movie.

History: For as long as mankind can remember, it has been at war with the savage vampires forever. And sadly, it was our side that was losing. But all of that quickly changed when we saw to the Priests, a group of near-superpowered humans with the finest in anti-vampire weaponry and skills. For once, the vampires were pushed back, and they fell into the shadows. But unfortunately, so too did the Priests. But this is no time to put away the heroes, as the vampires are coming back, having turned one of the Priests into a half-vampire that can stand sunlight. Only the remaining ones in this prestigious group can hope to stop a catastrophe from happening.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: The turned Priest, Black Hat, shows that his plan is to take a train full of vampires to the biggest city around. But thankfully, his plan is thwarted when the train is struck with a motorbike, blowing it up and incinerating both Black Hat and the vampires. The fight is far from over, but the Priests are finally making a comeback.

Powers/Abilities: The queen vampire's blood can corrupt and turn humans into half-vampires that tolerate light and have superhuman agility.

Weakness: Light, fire, holy weapons.

Scariness Factor: 4-Of all the vampire species we've seen for a while, these ones aren't human in the slightest. If anything, they look like aliens with no eyes, sharp fangs, grey skin, and nothing but bloodlust on their minds. They only get worse with size, and the half-vampires are a terrifying prospect due to not even the sun being there for you when they come. That it took a bunch of gifted fighters to turn the tide really says something.

Trivia: -That awesome animated opening to this film? It was directed by none other than Genndy Tartakovsky, the genius behind "Samurai Jack" and the "Star Wars: Clone Wars" series. Of course, this being Hollywood, he was only hired because they wanted to make the prologue as cheaply as possible. Oh sure, and not because you managed to get one of the best animation giants of his time?

-There were plans for a sequel, but the poor reception/box office numbers of this film canned that.
